Wall Mounted Faucets in the Powder Room

For my regular readers, you may have noticed that I have not written about our French farmhouse building progress in a while.  This is mainly because there was delay after delay and I was becoming very unexcited about the whole thing.  No one seemed to be in a hurry, so why should I?

Well things have finally progressed, ground has moved, etc. It is quite boring to post pictures of concrete and framing.  So instead, let's look at wall mounted faucets for the powder room.

My powder room will have two sconces next to a mirror.  I wanted the space to feel luxurious as it is one the guests would use the most.
I debate about a vessel sink, haven't quite decided yet.

I suppose it depends on the cabinet.

I love all of these different inspiration photos!

Now, I have to find a vanity for the powder room.  I like the cabinets below but they are not bathroom vanities! I considered turning them into bathroom vanities but they are too tall! I would LOVE to find one that is similar but in a vanity!

Let's look at some of the faucets...
There were the ones that I was looking at.
But I like this aged brass one below
And then This one below; but it is more modern and simple.

We ended up choosing the first one in unpolished brass. I hope I like how it ages!

Do you know of a company besides Restoration Hardware that sells French or Swedish looking bathroom vanities? If so, leave me a comment!!

  1. We are also doing a wall mounted faucet in our powder room in the house we're building. Rather than doing a vanity, I found two old corbels that will support a stone top and vessel sink. I wanted something that would make a statement without being visually overwhelming in the small space.

I feel your pain about the delays! It seems like we've been at a standstill since Thanksgiving. Hopefully things will speed up for both of us!

  2. If the faucet you chose is the aged brass one, that is my favorite, too. I need to do some up-dating in my bathroom and have been considering a wall-mounted faucet. I like the way they look and the fact that they don't have to be cleaned around when wiping down the sink. Probably more expensive to install, though, I would guess.
