Purple Transferware Tablescape

I put together this purple transferware table earlier this year and photographed it but then I forgot to post it!  I had fun putting this table together.

I took down the antique purple transferware plates from the walls and enjoyed how the look with the grey of the table and chargers.  They also go great with my Juliska purple goblets!
I put these antique Staffordshire cows in the center of the table to complete the look. It was an antique theme I was going for I suppose!
They remind me of the white cows that Charles Faudree always decorated with!
I kind of liked this shot... the fabric on the antique Swedish chair goes with the purples!
A shot from overhead!  A mixture of peonies and ranunculus sit in the center of the table!
One last look... antique monogrammed napkins were at every place setting. What's the lesson here? Don't hide your antiques away in the cabinet... take them out and use them!

I just love the look of the antique purple transferware.  It is currently hanging in the master bedroom. I think it is a really interesting color.  Hope you all enjoyed my little table!

  4. Your table looks lovely, and the purple transferware is so unique and as you say looks really nice
with the table and chargers and purple glassware. Such cute cows, and my grandmother used to have a
lil lamb that looks like yours.....and that was probably 55-60 years ago. Cows and lambs very cute
    addition.
    Have a blessed day,
    Nellie

    1. Yes for some reason it is not very popular in the decorating magazines and online - only the the blues, reds, and greens, but I don't know why because you can find the pretty purple one on eBay or in antique stores! I just love the color of it!
