Courtly Check black and white tablescape

Last week I showed you my DIY MK placemats.  Now it's time to show you my table setting which I totally love!
Courtly check tablescape
My napkin rings I made from another DIY project.  Check out how to make your own HERE. (Ironically I made those napkin rings a year ago!)  This platter we bought to use outside for the BBQ.  But I stole it for my centerpiece!

I love how the Juliska Country Estate plates go with the MK Courtly Check!

I had been wanting these candlesticks for a long time too.  When I made my napkin rings. I had leftover ribbon.  Since I didn't have the candlesticks, I just tied bows around the faux-candles to get the look.  But this past Christmas DH surprised me with these candlesticks!
Love my candlesticks!
What's been on your MK wishlist?

  1. Love all your combination.
    Thanks for sharing
    Greetings from South Africas

    1. Thank you for visit all the way from South Africa!

  2. I love the courtly check and you have certainly used it well! Beautiful table!

  3. I love the black and white theme, but I'm wondering can you tell me about the plates. I remember seeing some similar in Traditional Home magazine and they were very expensive. Did you find an inexpensive copy. If you did they sure compare to the ones I saw in T.H.

    1. The plates are by Juliska in the "country estate" pattern. They are quite expensive. I received most of the china pattern as wedding gifts last year. I did not register for traditional 'fine' china and 'everyday' china. I chose some expensive everyday china and figured I'd pick up some expensive porcelain set at an estate sale. I have yet to find a knock off that is similar... However I think this pattern resembles old china but it is dishwasher and microwave safe. Juliska has one outlet in Connecticut I think... You may be able to find some there. Or check ebay. Hope that helps!

  4. I'm not usually a black and white kinda guy, but I really like this setting. Congrats!
